“How Hard is Your Heart?” Pastor Gilman continues to teach from the Gospel of Mark. In Mark 10:2-16, Jesus is questioned by the pharisees in an attempt to bog him down in political and theological controversy. This time the controversial topic is divorce. Our Lord turns the conversations from an interpretation the Laws of Moses in Deuteronomy to the intended quality of a loving partnership as illustrated in Genesis. Pastor reminds us that, “though the Torah may permit something that doesn’t mean God approves it.” Just cause you can, doesn't mean you should. At the same time we must guard ourselves from being too harsh and legalistic or too easily led by popular culture.
