Welcome! This first Sunday of Lent we consider the Temptation of Christ in the Wilderness (Luke 4:1-13). It seems like such a distant story to us now. Jesus has a conversation with Satan and he wrestles with his own flesh…its desires, its needs, its demands. All too easily we set it aside as a scene we are watching, some play we aren’t involved in. But we are involved. The wilderness moments run through every minute of each day. We are bombarded with moments of moral dilemma, of challenges that often seem to be solved easily if we approach them selfishly without regard for others of God. Have hope, come, and see!
